CHICAGO — Videos uploaded to YouTube show firefighters responding to a subway fire that injured 19 people on Sunday.
Most of the victims suffered respiratory injuries due to the thick smoke that can be seen billowing from grates in the footage.
One video shows a number of emergency vehicles driving through the scene, which as many as 100 rescue workers responded to.
Five people in serious condition were transported to area hospitals, but none of the injuries were life-threatening.
The fire was quickly extinguished and is under investigation, according to transit authorities.
