HAWAI’I COUNTY, Hi. — A man was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman after meeting her online.
Hawai’i County Fire Department Firefighter Paul Joseph Daub, 27, was arrested after a 20-year-old woman reported him for sexual assault, ABC 4 KITV reported. The victim told responding law enforcement that Daub drove her to a secluded area shortly after meeting him and sexually assaulted her, pulling her back into his vehicle when she tried to get out.
Daub was charged with one count of first-degree sexual assault, one count of kidnapping and one count of third-degree sexual assault.
Daub, a two-year veteran of the HCFD, has been placed on administrative leave pending an investigation.
He has been released on $22,000 bail.
