COLUMBIA, S.C. — A firefighter was cleared after speaking with police regarding an arson apartment fire that left one person dead.
The unidentified Columbia firefighter was voluntarily called into the police department for questioning earlier this week; he is no longer considered a person of interest.
Authorities initially wanted to speak with the firefighter after he was seen on surveillance footage outside the scene of the fire.
The Feb. 1 fire killed 80-year-old True Dent Henderson, reported FOX News.
