TUCSON, Ariz. — A firefighter was injured and 30 residents were displaced after an apartment fire Wednesday morning.
TucsonNewsNow reported that a portion of the apartment roof collapsed on the firefighter after receiving information that a resident may have been inside. The firefighter suffered minor burns and was transported to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to fully recover.
Fire officials said the fire was started after a resident left a burning incense stick or bundle on the patio unattended.
Two residents were taken to a hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.
