BOSTON — Members of Boston Fire Fighters Local 718 IAFF and a company called Magic Wheelchair made a firefighter-admiring high school student’s Halloween dream come true, CBS News reported.
They made a fire truck costume that fits his wheelchair. It even has lights and a siren.
“When I heard of Magic Wheelchair and saw the incredible work that they have done especially for [Muscular Dystrophy Association] families, I knew I wanted Jose to have this experience as well,” said Stephanie Bello, mother of Jose Bello who has muscular dystrophy and uses a wheelchair.
“For as long as I can remember Jose has always admired and loved firefighters,” she said. “Jose talks about how brave firefighters are and how strong they are and how he wants to be just like them.”
