Cold Water Challenge Face-off: Fiery Four Semi-Finals

After a week of voting, the fifth round of the Cold Water Challenge Face-off guessing game has its winner! NFPA’s Lorraine Carli beat out National Fire Sprinkler Association’s Vickie Prichette with a total of 55 votes versus her 36 votes.

For those new to the game, the face-off challenge is simple: vote for who you think took the challenge first; we’ll reveal the true order after the bracket is complete.

Our mission is also simple: give firefighters a reason to have a bit of fun and keep the challenge alive — and the associated donations made to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Cast your vote below on which fire service leader you think completed the challenge first. At the end of the game, contest winners will be randomly selected and will receive a FireRescue1 T-shirt and challenge coin as a prize.

Chief Dennis Rubin has served as a company officer, command level officer, and fire chief in several major cities including Dothan, Ala., Norfolk, Va., and Atlanta. He’s also a frequent and regular contributing author to FireRescue1 and Fire Chief.

Fire Chief Ronald J. Siarnicki began his fire service career with the Prince George’s County Fire/EMS Department in 1978. In July 2001, Chief Siarnicki retired to take the position of executive director of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.
