San Antonio FF dies of COVID-19 complications

Fire Engineer Lyle Crawford served for 15 years, most recently in the department’s EMS division

SAN ANTONIO — Fire Engineer Lyle Crawford died Wednesday after a prolonged battle with COVID-19 complications, the San Antonio Fire Department announced Wednesday.

Crawford served with the department since 2007 and was most recently assigned to the EMS Division.

“Known for a fierce dedication to his friends and family, all who knew and loved Lyle will forever be grateful for our time with him,” the department posted on Facebook.
