Conn. fire dept. sells shirts for fallen firefighter’s family

All proceeds from the sales will go the family members of Kevin Bell, who was killed while battling a 2-alarm fire

HARTFORD, Conn. — The Hartford Fire Department and Hartford Fire Fighter Association are working together to support the family of a colleague who died in the line of duty last week.

The department and union will be selling Kevin L. Bell Memorial Tee Shirts to raise funds for the family of the 48-year-old firefighter who was killed while battling a two-alarm blaze at 598 Blue Hills Avenue last Tuesday night.

The shirts are $20 and are available in blue and gray. They will be on sale until they are sold out and all proceeds from the sales will go to the Kevin L. Bell Memorial Family Fund. You can buy them through the Hartford Fire Department Special Services Unit at the Hartford Public Safety Complex, located at 253 High Street in Hartford from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shirts are also available at the Offices of the Hartford Fire Fighters Association, IAFF 760 at 1 Linden Place, Unit 104 in Hartford from 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.
