CENTRALIA, Wash. — Police say a mother is the sole survivor of a house fire that killed three children overnight in southwestern Washington state.
Police in the city of Centralia say the mother and children were the only people in the two-story home when emergency responders arrived shortly before 1 a.m. Friday. They say mother was the only one who made it out of the fire alive.
Sgt. Carl Buster of the Centralia Police Department says investigators are talking with the mother.
There is no word on the ages or genders of the children.
Investigators are working to determine a cause of the fire.
