ST. LOUIS — A Missouri woman is dead after officials said she fell off an SUV and was hit by a firetruck.
A Cadillac Escalade was stopped at a red light in St. Louis when it went to make a left turn at around 11:20 p.m. April 26, according to a news release from police.
As the SUV was turning, 18-year-old Nyla Simmons, “who was dancing on the roof” of the vehicle, fell off and onto the road, officials said.
A few moments later, Simmons was struck by a firetruck responding to a call, with its lights and sirens on, according to police.
Authorities are still investigating.
