Fairfax, Va. - Nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 IAFC Fire Chief of the Year award. This award is being presented by the IAFC in partnership with Pierce Manufacturing. This prestigious honor recognizes one career fire chief and one volunteer fire chief for their leadership, innovation, professional development, integrity, service to the public and contributions as a whole to the fire service. The 2014 winners will be announced and presented with their awards in Dallas on August 14 at Fire-Rescue International, during the general session. The nomination deadline is June 6.
