FRESNO, Calif. — A handful of firefighters and police officers in California are under investigation after appearing in photos alongside bikini-clad women.

The firefighters were returning from a call when the models asked them to pose for some pictures, according to WFXT.

The photos from a car show in Central Fresno were posted online to ClubFlys.com until police requested they be removed, reported KFSN.

The responders were initially reluctant to pose for the pictures, according to the photographer and one of the models who has spoken out in their defense.

"It didn't hurt anybody. It wasn't defacing anything," said model Ashley Booth.

Fresno City Council Member Larry Westerlund had a different take.

"There's appropriate behavior and inappropriate behavior and this just does not look good, so it needs to be dealt with appropriately," Westerlund said.
