TIOGA, N.Y. — The Tioga County Sheriff’s Department investigated a car-truck fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Route 17C at the intersection of Schoonover Rd. in the town of Tioga.
A Southern Tier Recycler’s truck was stopped crossways in the roadway blocking both the west and eastbound lanes due to a prior motor vehicle accident involving a car and the truck.
A vehicle, operated by Leroy A. Kemp, age 81, was traveling eastbound when it struck the rear of the truck.
