Holmatro introduces new single and double plunger rams

Sponsored by

Holmatro has extended its range of 5000 Series rescue tools with four new ram models, all offering a high spreading force of 15.3 t / 33721 lbf compared to the tool weight. Weights range from 10.7kg / 23.6 lb to 19.3 kg / 42.5 lb at strokes varying from 250 mm / 9.8 in. to 680 mm / 26.8 in.

RA 5321 and RA 5331 are single plunger rams while the other two models, RA 5322 and RA 5332, are equipped with double plungers, i.e. one plunger at both sides of the tool. This significantly increases the spreading stroke without loss of force. All models are EN and NFPA certified and equipped with CORE Technology for quick and easy connection to a hydraulic pump. To bridge larger gaps, the single plunger rams can be combined with extension pipes in three different sizes (165 mm / 6.5 in., 330 mm / 13 in. and 500 mm / 19.7 in.).

Features & Benefits

The new rams have the following features and benefits: Completely redesigned control handle offering improved grip and precise tool control, integrated LED lighting illuminating the working area on both sides, carrying handle: makes it easy to pull the tool from the truck and carry it to the rescue scene, speed Valve for quicker unloaded extension, new rotating cross heads with precision cast profile, offering easy positioning and improved grip, protective strips on the housing to prevent damage when putting the tool on the ground and snap-lock system for optional accessories to change these within seconds, without the use of special equipment.
