The Port Huron Rescue is a 22’ 10-bay aluminum body on a Spartan Chassis. This unit features a drop frame alteration to maximize storage capacity while maintaining a short wheelbase. Using a process adapted and engineered by Summit Fire Apparatus, the frame alteration increases storage capacity up to 30%. The additional storage space is beneficial in more than just capacity. The added space is lower, more convenient and easily accessible. Another benefit of dropping the frame is truly transverse compartments from floor to ceiling. The custom front bumper extension stores two pre-connected tools, hydraulic hose reels and a front bumper discharge.
