WASHINGTON, N.C, – VT Specialized Vehicles Corporation, a company of Vision Technologies Systems, today announced that its Hackney division has been awarded a three-year agreement for emergency vehicles from the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative Buy Board. This agreement permits any governmental or non-profit agency within the State of Texas to purchase emergency vehicles from Hackney without a competitive bid process. Hackney was granted the rights to offer 31 different models of emergency vehicles from which purchasing entities may select. In addition to Texas entities, any state or local government within the other 49 states may choose to purchase from this agreement.
Agencies now have the advantage of selecting the model and mission specific options to create an emergency response vehicle ideally suited to meet their needs. All models and published option pricing schedules are electronically listed on the BuyBoard’s web site.
“This agreement provides an ideal purchasing solution for our customers who have a requirement for one of Hackney’s unique products. Securing this agreement provides Hackney with a much larger potential for increased revenue within the State of Texas and provides a marketing advantage in many of the other 49 states that chose to utilize this valuable purchasing tool. “
