SUNSET, La. - Centerline, Inc, in cooperation with emsCharts, Inc, announced today that they have adopted an electronic patient data collection system to improve the efficiency and quality of their emergency medical care. Centerline, Inc. specializes in providing Site Safety Medics for the oil & gas industry.
The system, known as emsCharts, is part of a suite of technology products developed by emsCharts, Inc specifically for the emergency medical field. Using emsCharts, Centerline will trade in their paper-based patient data collection system for a state-of-the-art electronic system. The web-based system will help Centerline to provide more efficient emergency health care by allowing the data collection process to begin while on scene, and continue immediately by transmitting important information accurately and securely to doctors, hospitals, and responding agencies.
With the old paper-based system, patient information had to go through a data entry process before the information could be delivered to the necessary parties. The streamlined system saves time and money, while allowing Centerline to provide optimized patient health care to the oil & gas industry. All patient information is handled in a secure and confidential fashion, adhering to the strict guidelines of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) that regulates the transmission of this information.
