A stubborn blaze tore through a building in lower Manhattan early Friday, injuring eight firefighters and a resident, fire officials said.
No one was seriously hurt.
The fire erupted at 202 Thompson St. in the West Village just after 6 a.m. The three-alarm fire forced several people to climb through their windows to safety, including a woman who rescuers escorted down a fire escape.
