Honeywell redesigns TAILs turnout gear

The latest model of the turnout gear offers improved fit and increased range of motion

DAYTON, Ohio — Honeywell featured its TAILS Morning Pride turnout gear at the Fire-Rescue International trade show. The new coat and pant ensemble retains the design of the original, but has been re-engineered using patterning technology to provide a better fit, new features and allow a wide range of motion and protection.

The coat's neck and collar have been reshaped to fit securely on the firefighter's neck, distributing its weight evenly across both shoulders. The circumference of the armholes and sleeves has also been adjusted.

Adjustments made in fly length, pant rise and pant grading have been made to better interface with fire boots. DRY Super Flex Heat Channel patterning incorporated at the knees offers increased mobility.

The TAILs turnout gear has been redesigned for increased arm, shoulder and leg mobility, and comfort throughout the shoulder and neck. These changes will provide smaller and larger firefighters with greater comfort, mobility and safety on the fireground, the company said.

It will be at booth 14097.
