CAMILLUS, N.Y. — Six people — including three children — were injured this afternoon when a West Genesee school bus and Fairmount fire rescue vehicle crashed at Milton Avenue and Hinsdale Road in Camillus, authorities said.

Three East Hill Elementary School children, two 7-year-olds and one 10-year-old, were aboard the bus about 4 p.m. when the bus and a fire rescue vehicle collided, said Camillus Police Chief Thomas Winn.

One child fell out the door of the bus as it was coming to a stop, Winn said. A witness said the child fell down the stairs and onto the pavement. The student was not seriously injured, Winn said.
