NEW YORK — A 7-year-old boy was clinging to life Saturday after being struck by an FDNY truck on Staten Island, officials said.

The child was by himself crossing the intersection of Broad St. and Gordon St. in Clifton around 7:30 a.m. when the passing fire truck hit him, officials said.

Firefighters immediately stopped and treated the boy. Medics showed up shortly after and rushed the critically-wounded child to Richmond University Medical Center.

The firefighters were returning from a 911 call and were traveling east on Broad St. when they struck the child.

Authorities located the boy’s family and notified them about the crash.

Cops were investigating the incident Saturday.
