Mo. fire engine overturns, burns during response

The Highlandville Rural Fire Protection District fire engine was responding to an MVA when it overturned

HIGHLANDVILLE, Mo. — Firefighters with the Highlandville Rural Fire Protection District escaped injury when the fire engine they were in overturned while responding to a call.

Engine 75 was heading to a motor vehicle accident on U.S. 65 when the driver went off the road, overcorrected and struck a ditch, causing the fire engine to overturn, KY3 reported.

There were no reported injuries. The fire engine caught fire and was extinguished by Ozark Fire Department firefighters.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
