TINTAH, Minn. — Firefighter Timothy Kath, 42, died on Dec. 31 after contracting COVID-19, KVRR reported.
Minn. Gov. Tim Walz ordered flags to be flown at half-staff Wednesday in honor of Kath.
Kath served with the Tintah Fire Department for more than 16 years. A Facebook post from the department asks people to keep Kath’s family in their thoughts and prayers.
Kath is survived by his wife and 10 children.
A GoFundMe was created in honor of Kath, and the description on the site says Kath died just six days after father, Larry Kath, died from COVID-19.
A pancake breakfast and fundraiser is scheduled for Sunday.
