N.C. firefighter, 22, killed in vehicle crash

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. — A volunteer firefighter was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Sunday.

Cameron Hunt, 22, was driving on N.C. Highway 130 when his vehicle ran off the road to the left, struck a ditch and then a tree, and was ejected from the vehicle, according to First Sgt. S.B. Lewis with North Carolina Highway Patrol. Lewis said Hunt was likely not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, as reported by WPDE.

WMBF News reported that Hunt had been with the fire department for approximately three years.
