DETROIT — A 3-year-old Detroit boy who had a heart transplant is about to have his wish granted.
Tyren Johnson says he loves fire trucks and wants to be a firefighter when he grows up.
Thanks to Make-A-Wish Michigan and the Detroit fire department, he’s going to become one before he grows up.
Tyren is to become a firefighter for a day on Tuesday.
He’s going to hang out at Engine 54 and get to ride in a truck with a Dalmatian, too.
Make-A-Wish Michigan grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, and being a firefighter for a day is Tyren’s wish.
