Proceeds from 6th annual event support survivors of fallen firefighters
Emmitsburg, Maryland – What could be better than a great day of NASCAR racing at the Monster Mile? How about a great day of racing with family, friends and firefighters. Show your support for your local heroes at the 6th Annual Firefighter Appreciation Day on Sunday, September 29, sponsored by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF).
Tickets for this special package are $109 and include a race ticket, access to a pre-race hospitality tent including an all-you-can-eat buffet and beverages (beer, soda and water), and a trackside access pass before the race. Driver Jamie McMurray will also make an appearance and answer questions from the crowd. Proceeds from the ticket sales support the NFFF’s efforts to honor our nation’s fallen firefighters and provide assistance to their survivors.
“The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation helps the survivors of those who died in the line of duty find support, comfort and resources they need as they begin to rebuild their lives,” explained Cathy Hedrick, the mother of a fallen firefighters and director of corporate relations for the Foundation. “The number of line of duty deaths that the fire service has experienced this year has been devastating and the Foundation has been working tirelessly to bring comfort to our newest survivors. This event allows people to have fun and show their admiration for our firefighters while supporting the important work of the NFFF.”
Since 2008, the event has raised more than $390,000 for the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. For more information about Firefighter Appreciation Day at Dover International Speedway or to order tickets, go to http://www.monstermileoffers.com/nfff or call 1-800-441-RACE.
