Firefighters place friendly bet on World Series

T-shirts are on the line along with at least a year’s worth of bragging rights

BOSTON — World Series 2013 trash-talk moved from the ticket lines at Fenway Park to the offices of first responders in both Boston and St. Louis.

This all started right after the championship contenders were decided. Keith Willmann, a firefighter with St. Louis Fire Engine Company #4, placed a cold call to Engine Company #4 in the Boston Fire Department.

“I just said I needed to speak with one of the Duck Dynasty Fan Club members,” he chuckled. “And, he questioned who it was. I said it was a Cardinals fan from St. Louis.”
