REHOBOTH, Mass. — Rehoboth firefighters paid tribute to a fallen colleague at a ceremony Sunday morning.

In November of 2010, firefighter Kenneth Marshall, Jr., was behind the wheel of a fire engine just leaving the firehouse when he suffered a fatal heart attack. Now, Station Two, which family described as his second home, has been renamed in his honor.

Marshall’s mother Rhonda attended the ceremony, and it was the first time she’d seen the memorial plaque bearing her son’s likeness. “I can’t even put it into words,” she said. “It hits you right here.”
