BOISE, Idaho — A firefighter on his way to an Idaho EMS station was killed in an ATV accident Friday.
Firefighter Vance Baldwin, 52, a 19-year veteran of the Boise Fire Department, was heading to the ambulance station to respond to a medical call, according to the Idaho Statesman.
After receiving word that he failed to arrive, Firefighter Baldwin’s family found his body. The Mountain Home News said a passerby reported spotting his ATV in a ravine.
Firefighter Baldwin had served on the dive rescue team, the airport rescue team and the hazmat team, and he was also a volunteer for the Pine-Featherville Volunteer Ambulance District.
