MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Ky. — Capt. Zach Clevenger was found dead at home Saturday morning by his wife following a structure fire Friday night.
Clevenger, 30, was a seven-year veteran of the Montgomery County Fire Department and a volunteer with the Estill County (Ky.) Fire Department. He was fighting the fire with Estill Friday.
Montgomery County Fire reported Clevenger’s death on its Facebook page, saying he’d returned home shortly before midnight Friday and was found unresponsive in the morning.
The cause of death is not known. He is survived by his wife.
