NATRONA COUNTY, Wyo. — A Wyo. firefighter died Wednedsay from a stroke he suffered while working a brush fire last week.
Firefighter Adam Longo of Natrona County was driving a squad truck to the fire station to pick up a brush truck when he had the stroke, according to the Billings Gazette.
Other firefighters in the truck were able to take control and stop it safely.
After the stroke, Firefighter Longo had surgery and was listed in critical but stable condition Friday.
“The NCFD would like to thank all of the local Fire, EMS and Law enforcement agencies for their around the clock support of Firefighter Longo, his family and our department,” said Natrona County Fire Investigator Dave Baker.
