BERWICK, Pa. — Emotions ran high Saturday morning as firefighters from across the Columbia County area came together to remember a little boy from Berwick who became one of their own.
“It’s an honor to do it for him,” said Daniel Hottenstein of the Mufflinville Fire Company. Seven-year-old Hunter Mullins dreamed of being a firefighter. He spent a lot of time at the Salem Township fire company where his parents volunteered wearing a contagious smile.
“Hunter was like a mascot to us, we’d come back from a bad call and he’d be there a big smile on his face and he’d always be the one to tell you were doing something wrong he was just a great kid,” said Lee Smith, Deputy Chief of Salem Township.
