ELLINGTON, Conn. — At approximately 5:30 p.m. on January 12, the Ellington Fire Department and Ellington Ambulance responded to a report of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Crane Road and Frog Hollow Road. The first units to arrive reported a heavy fog condition and a vehicle rolled over into the brook with the patient still trapped inside.
Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and maintained contact with the patient while other crews opened the driver’'s side door with Lukas spreaders.
The patient was removed from the vehicle and transported to Rockville Hospital via Rescue 543.
