CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. — Two firefighters needed medical attention during a July 15 fire in a building being used for storage.
WGRZ reported that one firefighter was dehydrated and another was cut on his arm during the fire in Cheektowaga, N.Y.
Both were taken to a nearby hospital, Cheektowaga Police Assistant Chief Brian Gould said.
Ten volunteer departments in Cheektowaga and others providing mutual aid worked at the early morning fire.
The building involved was torn down by an excavator because there were parts of it that crews couldn’t safely reach without risking ceiling collapse.
Firefighter was just carried away on a stretcher by that group in the distance. Tough thing to witness. pic.twitter.com/qTvQ5snWXk
