PITTSBURGH — Three firefighters were injured in a fire that consumed a Pittsburgh apartment building in the Mt. Oliver neighborhood on Sunday evening, according to media reports.

WXPI reported the fire started at a home on Mt. Oliver Street around 8 p.m., although no cause was immediately known.

Pittsburgh Public Safety posted to Facebook that two firefighters were transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including a burn injury. At least two others were injured.

TribLive reported that the fire started in a 3rd-floor apartment, but quickly spread forcing the evacuation of the building.

Crews were still fighting the fire as of 9:30 p.m. and KDKA reported that officials said it would be a long operation.
