MILLBURY, Mass. — Two firefighters who were assigned to the same firehouse have been associated with sexual assault charges, NBC Boston reported Wednesday.
Millbury is an on-call department.
“We don’t have any reason to believe there is a cultural issue at the fire department,” Millbury Town Manager Sean Hendricks said.
Fire Captain Walter Swenson is serving time for sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl over multiple years. The town formally terminated him from the department Monday.
Firefighter Colton Paszkowski is accused of raping a girl, 15, multiple times last fall. He has been off the job since December.
