Duty Death: Walter Wagaman - [Orrtanna]

ORRTANNA, Pa. — The Buchanan Valley Volunteer Fire Department announced the death of Assistant Chief Walter Wagaman after succumbing to injuries incurred from being thrown from a firetruck roughly two weeks ago.
On Aug. 2, the BVVFD responded to a vehicle crash scene, Penn Live reported. Wagaman sustained injuries when was ejected from the truck as they responded to the call and flown to a nearby trauma center.
The York County Coroner’s office posted on Twitter that Wagaman was pronounced dead at 2:03 a.m. on Aug. 14.

The fire department posted the news on Facebook and asked for privacy at this time, but officials state they will release additional details in the future.
