ARLINGTON, Iowa — Three people, including two small children, have died in a fire at a northeast Iowa trailer home.
The Fayette County sheriff’s office says the two children and one adult were pronounced dead at the scene of the fire Saturday southwest of Arlington.
Three other people — two adults and one child — were injured in the blaze and taken to a hospital in Oelwein for treatment.
Authorities haven’t released the names, ages or genders of the dead or injured. All six victims lived in the trailer home.
The fire was reported about 4 a.m. Saturday. The sheriff’s office says the home was engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
