SALISBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. —Two fire fighters with the Honey Brook Fire Company were killed and a third injured, Friday when the pickup truck they were riding in collided with a tractor trailer in Salisbury Township.
Jake Long, 19, was driving the truck, and passenger Benuel Stoltzfus, 23, both of Honey Brook and both fire company members, died in the fiery crash, as did passenger Marcus Ruff, 26, of Downingtown. Jake Zook, 23, of Honey Brook, another Honey Brook fire fighter, was also riding in the truck. He escaped with non life-threatening injuries.
The tractor-trailer driver, Roberto Jones Chambers, 46, of Philadelphia, had minor injuries. Zook was in serious condition at Lancaster General Hospital Saturday and Chambers had been treated and released.
