LOS ANGELES — 43 years ago, Los Angeles Fire Department Apparatus Operator Tom Taylor was killed in the line of duty by a roof collapse during a structure fire.

Taylor’s locker remained untouched since that day.

On Mar. 3, the department added memorial artwork by artist Rosie Tos to Taylor’s locker. The artwork captures several aspects of history, tradition and Taylor’s two families.
