Firefighter held at gunpoint during carjacking
After stealing the firefighter's car, the suspects robbed a hotel and a gas station
INDIANAPOLIS — Police are searching for three suspects who robbed two businesses in Jackson and Bartholomew counties.
Officers with the Indiana State Police were searching near the Berkeley Common Apartments, in the 8200 block of Madison Avenue.
They are also the suspects in a carjacking in Clermont, Indiana just after midnight. They took a Hummer from a Washington Township firefighter at a gas station.
"It gives me a whole new appreciation for law enforcement officers and what they do on a regular basis," the victim said. "I've never had a gun pointed at me until today. Today it was two at the same time. I appreciate anybody who does that for a living."
The suspects then robbed a hotel in Seymour, Indiana and a gas station in Columbus, Indiana.
Police chased them between Marion and Johnson counties, until they got to the apartments where they crashed the Hummer near the apartments.
The suspects are considered armed and dangerous. If you see them, call 911.
