PENNSAUKEN, N.J. — Five people were injured, including three critically, in a house fire in Pennsauken early Monday, authorities said.

One person was trapped in the basement and another had jumped from a second-floor window when the fire on the 2900 block of Finlaw Avenue was called in at about 5 a.m., the Pennsauken Fire Department said.

Firefighters rescued the person from the basement as crews battled heavy flames on the first and second floors of the Camden County house, officials said.

A photo provided by the fire department shows the charred, heavily damaged home after firefighters knocked down the blaze.
