ANDERSON, S.C. — A volunteer firefighter has been suspended indefinitely after being charged with criminal solicitation of a minor, Anderson County Fire Chief Billy Gibson said Tuesday.
Dale Rollins, 40, of 318 Mulliken Road in Central, was arrested Aug. 8, according to an Anderson County sheriff’s report.
A Williamston woman told deputies that Rollins sent inappropriate text messages to her 15-year-old daughter in June, according to the report.
Rollins has served as a volunteer firefighter for six years at the county’s Pendleton station No. 2, Gibson said.
