FREMONT, Neb. — Dean and Steve Raddatz joined the Fremont Rural Fire Department in 1984, and today the brothers have more combined years of service than the length of time the department has existed.
Members of the department, which was chartered on May 24, 1961, took time on Wednesday to recognize their two longest serving active members – each with 30 years of membership.
“It’s quite an accomplishment for someone to put in 30 years with this department and seeing all the things they’ve seen,” President Glen Koplin said.
