CHARLESTON, Vt. — Authorities say a volunteer firefighter was killed when he lost control of the fire truck he was driving and the truck struck a telephone pole.
State police say 55-year-old Kenneth Frizzell Jr. of Charleston died Sunday afternoon as he was returning from a fire call.
He was ejected from the truck when it hit the pole and pronounced dead at the scene.
