Artificial intelligence is already shaping how the fire service works — the goal now is to move from AI amateurs to AI practitioners. To steal a concept from the hazmat community, most firefighters are at the Awareness level of AI training, understanding what it is generally and experimenting with basic tools. The next step is learning how to apply AI in ways that actually support the work of the firehouse and the responsibilities of leadership — the shift to the Operations level of training.

In this FireRescue1 webinar, our expert panelists share a practical guide to how firefighters, company officers and chief officers can begin using AI tools for everyday fire service tasks:

  • Career development
  • Training preparation
  • Administrative work

The panelists also offer key guidance for common AI skills:

  • How to prime and prompt
  • Which AI platform to use in different situations
  • How to personalize your AI settings
  • How to handle legal and policy considerations

Here’s what attendees had to say:

  • “Great information for someone, like myself, who is overwhelmed and baffled by this whole resource.”
  • “Very informative, great information, and will help me save time in learning and choosing the best system.”
  • “I learned a lot about AI! Lots of great tips especially for prompts that will come in handy in our day-to-day operations.”
