Norfolk, Va., firefighters responded to a fully-involved house fire with extension into exposures on Dec. 29, 2025.

NORFOLK, Va. — Norfolk Fire-Rescue crews responded at approximately 1:10 a.m. to a residential structure fire on Hardy Avenue, where a two-story home was found fully involved and threatening nearby homes.

A second alarm was requested early to bring in additional personnel and resources, and firefighters launched an aggressive, coordinated attack with automatic aid from the Chesapeake Fire Department.

One occupant was transported to a hospital for evaluation, and six residents were displaced and are receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
