SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake firefighters typically put on heavy coats, helmets and other fire protective gear when they’re called out.
But on Sunday, shorts, a T-shirt and a pair of hiking shoes were all that were needed.
A crew from Salt Lake Fire Station 10 was called to assist animal control officers on an injured dog just after 7 p.m. in an area known as the Living Room off the Shoreline Trail above the University of Utah. The dog had injured his paw and wasn’t moving, said Salt Lake fire spokesman Jasen Asay.
