SALT LAKE CITY — Three Salt Lake City firefighters were injured battling a blaze at an apartment complex Tuesday morning.
The fire displaced between 50 and 100 people, according to KUTV. Officials said the firefighters’ injuries are not life-threatening.
Salt Lake City Fire Capt. Anthony Burton told KSL that heavy smoke and flames were coming from the top floors of the building and through the roof.
The affected building and two or three adjacent four-story apartment buildings were all evacuated. Firefighters also removed several pets from the complex.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
Burton said that there have been several recent fires in the city but that none appear to be related.
