Security video obtained by NBC showed the bus driving through the intersection with a green light. A witness told CBS the FDNY truck came into the intersection “going at a high speed” and did not have its emergency lights or siren on.

Both vehicles appeared to swerve to avoid a bigger collision. Photos from the scene showed the front bus windshield was smashed opposite the driver’s side.

An investigation is ongoing.

The bus was carrying more than a dozen passengers at the time of the crash, according to ABC. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

“We are praying for the passengers injured and those receiving medical assistance on site and at area hospitals,” Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson wrote on X.
